Rhythm In Colour – 5 Week Series Slideshow

Welcome!  Please enjoy the slideshow highlighting moments and creations from our last 5 week Rhythm In Colour workshop series for women in Edinburgh, Scotland from 16th September ~ 14th October.  Each week focused on a different theme:

• 16th September ~ Flow, Fluid, Expansive music with Focus on physical body, slow, deliberate movement.
• 23rd September ~ World & ecelectic music, foreign culture, travel and journey with music & rhythm.
• 30th September ~ Popular, Familiar, Mainstream music with pop & Rn’B.
• 7th October ~ Story, Word, Lyric, Voice.
• 14th October ~ Live music with special guest musician & feeling the silence between sounds.

Rhythm In Colour Creative Themed Workshops for Women

I’ve got three new themed workshops coming up this month in Edinburgh!  Here is further info about each workshop:

Three Summer Evening Workshops: Thursdays 8th, 15th & 22nd July, 7pm-9.15pm.

8th July – Flow – Soothing, healing music will inspire our movement & expression in colour allowing us to slow down to hear our own rhythms. 

This workshop encourages us to slow down from the speed of daily life, bringing awareness back into our bodies through deliberate flowing movement and breath.  A moving meditation of sorts.  We will then explore with colour, painting and word.  A calming, centering, relaxing and healing workshop.

15th July – World – Journey around the world through an eclectic blend of fusion, global music to inspire our imagery, colours & words. 

In this workshop we shall go on a journey with unique and varied world music exploring the vibracy, depth and richness that foreign sounds can bring to our imaginings.  We will then explore our inspiration through colours, painting and word.

22nd July – Female Voice – A celebration of the beauty & power of the feminine voice & music to inspire our colours, movement & words.

This workshop will go deep into the sounds of the female voice with song and music.  We shall celebrate unique voices and female musicians with our expressions through movement, colours, painting and word with encouragement to stretch our own vocals by singing along, harmonising and making sound (don’t worry, there will be no individual singing!).
